CD is a community organisation whose primary aim is to provide advice and support to troubled families particularly young people from the BME in Greenwich/ Bexley area. We are currently working with several organisations to establish and develop a Digital Youth Hub for the teaming population of youth who are predominantly NEET. The Youth Hub is a place where young people can simply turn up for advice and support in a safe and secure environment.

Within the hub; young people are able to get support from a team with conspicuous youth participation and also has a wide range of experience and expertise in youth development.

 The Promise

This project is intended to create a youth friendly environment where help and support will be provided to young people for a way out of a crisis situation arising from social challenge and go on to live a happy and prosperous life. The key project seeks to address these problems of deprivation and exclusion among the young people (14-25) of the focus area who are facing hardships with drug and alcohol problems, gang involvement, low/no skill, a lack of aspiration, high rates of teenage pregnancy, homelessness and/or domestic violence.

The Project also seeks to provide people with social networks through which relationships can be built and through which they can be referred to specialist services pertaining to training/education, employment, health and personal development as well as housing/tenancy support services.

The project was launched to provide and deliver a friendly Youth Hub for weekly informal career development activities, Weekend social engagement club and monthly inspirational workshops and seminars.
